Continuing to introduce you to the hats of the new SS2016 "Balthazar" Collection and today I am posting "Maharani" headdress. Completed in iridescent fire opal silk organza, "Maharani" features lobster tail motive with intricate embroidery in Swarovski pearls and crystals and gold sea shells. Those of you who follow me probably know that I absolutely love working with turbans. To me turban is a Rolls Royce of the hats. It has tremendous presence and offers limitless possibilities in terms of design. "Maharani" headdress was created as a twin hat for "Maharaja" headdress I posted last week. Inspired by the royal culture of India, "Maharani" is a Princess of India and I hope it embodies every part of this high title.
